A memoir of 22-year-old medical student who ventured alone into the heart of Kenya in 2011 for a voluntary work. It was a 5-week journey living with a Kenyan family of Kamba tribe, teaching English and Mathematics in one of the school in Makueni Region. Stationed in an all-Christian community village, being the only Muslim and the first volunteer in the village, she learned how to adapt to their culture while at the same time maintaining her own beliefs and practices.
A journey that she hopes to spread to people out there with the message that we can all do goods despite the imperfection that we have and learn how to accept each other with all the differences among us.
